This Privacy Policy explains how Themed World, operated by the legal entity identified in the booking confirmation and/or invoice issued to the guest ("Themed World", "we", "us"), collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit www.themed.world, contact us or book a stay.

1. Data we collect

  • Identity and contact data: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, postal address when required by law.
  • Booking data: property, dates, number of guests, special requests, guest ID details when required by local regulations.
  • Payment data: payments are processed by our booking engine and payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our website.
  • Communication data: messages sent through our contact or enquiry forms, email, WhatsApp or booking platforms.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. Booking and payment

Bookings made on this website are handled through our booking engine provided by Guesty. When you book, your booking, guest and payment data are transmitted to Guesty and to the relevant payment processor in order to confirm and manage your reservation. Their own privacy policies also apply to these processes.

3. Why we use your data

  • To process, confirm and manage your booking and your stay (performance of a contract).
  • To answer your enquiries and provide guest support.
  • To comply with legal obligations, including guest registration, invoicing and tax requirements.
  • To secure our website and prevent fraud (legitimate interest).
  • To measure website traffic and improve our services and marketing (consent, where required).
  • To send you information about our stays or services, only where you have agreed to receive it.

4. Cookies and tracking tools

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): audience and traffic measurement.
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM): management of measurement and marketing tags.
  • Meta Pixel: measurement of advertising campaigns and audience building on Meta platforms.

5. Third-party services

We work with service providers who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers, including: Guesty (property management and booking engine), payment processors, booking platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com and Agoda when you book through them, Google (Analytics, Tag Manager), Meta (Pixel), email and messaging providers, and our website hosting provider. We only share the data necessary for each service.

6. Data retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above: booking and invoicing data for the period required by applicable accounting and tax laws, enquiry data for up to 3 years after our last contact, and analytics data according to the retention settings of each tool. Data is then deleted or anonymised.

7. International visitors and data transfers

Themed World operates stays in France and the Philippines. Your data may therefore be processed in the European Union, in the Philippines and in the countries where our service providers operate. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the provider's own compliance mechanisms.

8. Your rights (GDPR and applicable laws)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Guests in the European Union may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL). Guests in the Philippines benefit from the rights provided by the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Payment transactions are handled by secure, certified providers.
